Cold Pressed Safflower Oil There are two types of Safflower Oil available, High Oliec and Linoleic, both with different characteristics.
Cold Pressed Oleic Safflower Oil – The high oleic (monounsaturated) acid content in this variety of safflower oil makes it ideal for cooking due to its stability at elevated temperatures and high smoke point. Safflower oil is the second lowest saturated fat of all mass produced vegetable oils at 8% cosmetics industry.
Cold Pressed Linoleic Safflower Oil - The linoleic (poly-unsaturated) safflower variety has the highest linoleic acid content of any of the commonly used vegetable oils. (typically over 75%). Commonly used in edible oil products such as margarine, salad oils and mayonnaise. It is very high in Omega 6, an essential fatty acid. Cootamundra Oilseeds will soon have the availability of both high oleic and linoleic safflower oil in fully refined form.
